Warm vs cool

The undertone axis: warm colouring leans golden, peach or yellow; cool colouring leans pink, rosy or blue.

What it means

Warm vs cool is the first, most decisive split in seasonal color analysis. Spring and Autumn are warm seasons; Summer and Winter are cool seasons. Getting the warm-cool direction right matters more than getting the exact season right — wearing the wrong temperature is what causes the 'I look ill' reaction even when the colour itself is technically attractive.

How it shows up in your Better in Style analysis

We resolve warm vs cool first, then narrow within the warm or cool half of the 12-season wheel. That ordering matches how a studio analyst works.
